The Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA Council Chief Hon Obarilomate Ollor yesterday received mobile waste receptacles to aid his administration’s ongoing urban renewal project at Echi-eta Nchia.
The waste receptacles which were donated by O’Elaobor Eleme, (Eleme Apex Social Cultural Group Abuja Chapter) were part of their 2022 community development project to aid the administration’s urban renewal project and support the drive for a clean and healthy environment.
Receiving the materials, Chief Ollor thanked the body for identifying with and resolving to support his administration. He noted that if his administration was failing, the association would not have reached out to support him because nobody identifies with failure and therefore pledged to do more to put Eleme at its rightful place on the global map. Chief Ollor also assured that the materials would be strategically positioned especially around the Echi’eta Nchia (Eleme Ultra-Modern Market) area to reduce the challenge of indiscriminate dumping of refuse in public places and make it easier for evacuation into waste compactor trucks.
On his part, Mr Nwolu Okerewa the president of the group represented by Mr Aforji Amadi said the group is glad to identify with and support the people-driven projects of the current administration and pointed to the very noticeable and significant development around the Echi’eta Nchia market axis where the government has opened up the road around the market by the provision of barricades which has prevented road side traders from flooded the roads and has, in turn, reduced high traffic jam and accidents usually suffered around there in the past.
The group which noted that the gesture was part of their 2022 project assured that they will continue to partner with Ollor’s administration to ensure Eleme gets the best which is the only acceptable standard.
