…Partners Pharez Spring Diagnostic and Wellness Hospital for Surgical Cases.
Chief Hon. Obarilomate Ollor the Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA has granted free healthcare insurance to 100 indigent persons in Eleme Local Government Area and has also partnered with Pharez Spring Diagnostic and Wellness Hospital for additional free surgical attention. According to Chief Ollor, the free healthcare insurance will cover the general health challenges of ten (10) indigent persons per ward in order to reflect the ten (10) wards of Eleme LGA and separate surgical attention where the Local Government will pay 50% of the total sum for indigent persons while Pharez Spring Diagnostic and Wellness Hospital will take care of the other 50% based on the partnership.
“As a government, we are determined to make our people enjoy the dividends of democracy, that is why we have carefully decided to reach the very poor people in our land who are dying daily from minor sicknesses because of lack of funds to settle hospital bills. We have already made a 100% payment in advance for 100 sick persons to cover general sicknesses while we have also partnered with Pharez Spring Diagnostic and Wellness Hospital to give free surgical attention to those with special cases of surgery but do not have anyone to help them. We shall pay 50% for such cases and the hospital will complete the other 50%. We call on all Community Leaders (Chiefs, Women, and Youth) to look inwardly and carefully select 10 poor persons who are sick in their Communities to benefit from this project”, Chief Ollor stated. The scheme which is expected to run for the next year will kick off in March 2023 and shall cover around #500,000.00 worth of medical care for each beneficiary.
Chief Ollor who prayed that sickness will reduce in Eleme land joked that our people should also stop getting sick and pleaded with Community Leaders to desist from selecting their family members and friends for the scheme but sincerely choose only the helpless who cannot afford orthodox medication during sickness. He further directed that all names of beneficiaries from each Ward should be sent to the Office of the Vice Chairman Hon. Virtue Joseph Ekee who doubles as the Supervisor for Health of Eleme LGA so that the necessary attention can be given to them with immediate effect.
