— Reinstate Princewill Osaronwa Osaroejiji as Alode Youth President.
Following the recent protest by a section of Alode youths and stakeholders over the selection of members of the Port Harcourt Refinery Joint Community Relations Committee (JCRC), which consequently led to the removal of Comrade Princewill Osaronwa Osaroejiji (Pepper Dem) as Alode youth President, the Executive Chairman of Eleme LGA Council, Chief Obarilomate Ollor has directed that status quo be maintained and the youth President, Princewill Osaroejiji be reinstated with immediate effect.
Chief Ollor who had an extensive engagement with youths and stakeholders of the Alode community warned against any action that could cause chaos in the community or lead to the breakdown of law and order. While addressing both factions in the council secretariat, Chief Ollor said the engagement is expected to restore peace and stop any impending crisis in the Alode community. He advised the protesting group to respect the decision of the paramount ruler of the community and withdraw their petitions against the names submitted to JCRC for the inauguration.
According to Chief Ollor; “Things must be done orderly in this administration. The selection of a new youth President was done in bad faith because they protested. You don’t just change a youth president without due process, it is unacceptable and I won’t allow that to happen. we must follow the proper process to avoid any crisis in Alode. “I will appoint some persons to embark on facts finding and give me a formal brief on the true position of things in the youth Council so we can know what action to take next”. Chief Ollor added; “As for JCRC, allow the list submitted by the Chief to stand, if you must seek any adjustment or review, it shouldn’t be done violently, such should be addressed to me. Besides, those selected in the wisdom of the Chief as members of Alode JCRC are also sons of the Alode community”, he maintained.
